Ethan Lieber

Ethan Lieber received received his Ph.D in economics from the University of Chicago in 2013 and his B.A. in economics from the University of Chicago in 2004. His principal research interests are in health economics and industrial organization, but extend to topics in public and labor economics as well. Some of his recent work has focused on the role that health insurance plays on consumer search in health care, how learning health care prices affects consumers’ decision, and whether the in-kind provision of health care is optimal. At Notre Dame he teaches microeconomics at the undergraduate level.
